Who runs Mikoriana
Mikoriana is a desktop application made and used by Marindrano, based in Madagascar. It turns the creator's own scripts into videos and publishes them to the creator's own accounts. In this policy, "the creator", "I" and "me" mean Marindrano.
Who it is for
Only me. Mikoriana connects only to accounts I own or manage myself. It is not offered to the public, and nobody else can create an account or connect their own social media accounts to it.
What data it handles
When I connect one of my accounts (YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, X, LinkedIn, Threads), Mikoriana receives and keeps:
- an access token that lets it act on that account, as allowed by the permissions I approved;
- the account's ID, display name and profile picture, so I can tell my accounts apart;
- for each post it publishes: the post ID, its link, and its public numbers (views, likes, comments, shares, reach).
It also handles the content I publish: my videos, captions and titles. It does not read messages, contacts, followers' personal data or anything else.
Where the data is stored
Only on my own computer. Access tokens are kept in the macOS Keychain. Account names, the publishing queue and post numbers are kept in local files on the same computer. Mikoriana has no server, no database in the cloud, no analytics, no advertising and no cookies. This website does not use cookies or tracking either.
How the data is used
- To publish my posts to my accounts, now or at a time I chose.
- To show me how my own posts are doing.
The data is never sold, rented, shared with third parties, used for advertising, or used to train AI models. It is sent only to the platform it belongs to, through that platform's official API.
Keeping and deleting data
Data is kept for as long as an account stays connected. Disconnecting an account in Mikoriana deletes its access token right away. I can also remove Mikoriana's access from the platform's own settings (listed below), which makes the token useless. To ask for any data to be deleted, email tianiazymarindrano@gmail.com and it will be deleted within 7 days, with a confirmation reply.
Children
Mikoriana is not meant for, and is not used by, anyone under 18.
Platforms
Mikoriana connects to these platforms. Each platform's own terms and privacy policy also apply.
YouTube
With YouTube (Google LLC), Mikoriana is allowed to:
- Upload videos to the creator's own channel and set their title, description, visibility and publish time.
- Read the channel's name and picture, and the view, like and comment counts of the videos Mikoriana uploaded.
Mikoriana uses YouTube API Services. By using these features you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's Privacy Policy applies. Mikoriana's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

Remove access: Google Account, Third-party apps and services
With Facebook (Meta Platforms, Inc.), Mikoriana is allowed to:
- List the Facebook Pages the creator manages, so the creator can pick one.
- Publish posts and videos to that Page, now or at a scheduled time.
- Read the reach and engagement numbers of those posts.

- Read the name and picture of the creator's professional Instagram account.
- Publish Reels to that account.
- Read the view and engagement numbers of those Reels.

TikTok

- Read the creator's basic profile (display name and avatar).
- Upload and publish videos to the creator's own TikTok account.
- List the creator's videos to read their view, like, comment and share counts.

- Read the creator's basic Threads profile (name and picture).
- Publish posts with text and links on the creator's own Threads account.
